There's nothing more cheering than turning into your drive to be greeted by the
warm glow of a
porch lantern, particularly with the awful weather we've been having recently.
Broughtons have an excellent range of period style exterior lights and lanterns
and I would recommend them as a good starting point in finding something that's
suits you, and your house of course.
The range includes wall lights, pendants, pillar lamps and Victorian styled lampposts.
They even have an unusual range of American styled lanterns, if you're looking for
something a little different.
If you're out at work and don't want to leave the lamp on all day, get your electrician
to integrate a light sensor into the lamp's wiring. These unobtrusive devices are
able to detect when it's dark or light and allow the lamp to come on accordingly.
Incorporating it into a switch inside the house will allow you to turn it off completely
when the light is not required.
