New Villeroy and Boch Art Deco Tableware
Vivian by Villeroy and Boch

Inspired by the sometimes exotic influences in the 1920s, Villeroy & Boch has launched Vivian, a pattern variant of the new Marlene white tableware series, which combines art-deco details with a touch of glamour.

Made of bone china and decorated using lithography, Vivian's pattern displays variations of elegant gold bands and delicate lines in walnut, which are always used as triple bands on a background of ivory. A broad band of gold emphasises the layers at the transition between the rim of the plate and its centre.

The 'Vivian Tobacco' pattern shows a carpet of flowers in a walnut colour, framed with gold fillets. The intensity of colour and the compact pattern bring to life the calm basic art-deco line. A similar pattern is used for 'Vivian Bourbon', but this is rendered in a warm, ivory colour. Both pattern variants are only available as place plates, square breakfast plates, mocha cups and mugs with handles.

Finally, 'Vivian Gold' a particularly refined variant in plain white with gold ribbons, is offered for dinner plates, shallow soup dishes and bread plates and also for the round breakfast plates. All of the bone china is safe for use in dishwashers and microwaves.
