Oak floor no longer an engineered dream

Oak floor no longer an engineered dream
Specially engineered oak floor offers flexibility for modern living

Engineered flooring overcomes the problems of using hardwood in areas prone to moisture or overheating, but many of us consider them a compromise when we've been dreaming of a solid oak floor.

But now Broadleaf’s new Strata provides the quality of solid oak, plus the enhanced stability of an engineered construction. Strata is made of three layers of solid oak – rather than the single thin layer glued to plywood characteristic of engineered boards.

It looks, feels and sounds just like a real wood floor making it incredibly versatile. According to Broadleaf, Strata can be installed almost anywhere including over underfloor heating.

The flooring comes in 150mm and 200mm widths in a choice of traditional oak styles as well as Broadleaf’s Brushed and Burned collection for a vintage feel or the more contemporary Brushed or Brushed and Limed options.

Prices start at £47.50 per m2. For more information visit
