Tanne now comes in an electrifying petro blue
Karen Blixen, the Danish author best known for Out of Africa first published in
1937, is the influence for the latest vases from Rosendahl. Inspired by the gossamer
lace curtains in Karen Blixen’s home Rungstedlund, Lin Utzon has created an attractive
vase and votive with a matt silver motif.
Rosendahl is the official sponsor of the Karen Blixen Museum, and for every piece
sold, a donation is made towards new exhibitions at the Rungstedlund museum.
The museum north of Copenhagen, depends on funding to continue the work of preserving
Karen Blixen’s house, Rungstedlund, and showcasing the writer’s life and work. The
museum has been in existence for 17 years now and has drawn close to a million visitors
from all over the world.
The vases, called Tanne, derived from the writer's nickname, will be available from
Octobe, price Tanne Votive £16.95, Tanne Vase 18cm £36.95 and 13cm £26.96. For more
