Hampstead, 50s Inspired Wallpaper
Little Greene is launching its '50s Line Papers' collection at this month’s Maison
and Objet show in Paris. Created in collaboration with the Whitworth Art
Gallery in Manchester, which houses one of the largest wallpaper archives in the
UK, the collection encapsulates the post-war revival.
Named in tribute to the celebrated wallpaper manufacturer John Line and Sons, the
collection of eight designs interprets some of the archived documents embellishing
patterns to capture the spirit of the period, whilst creating a range of papers
for the modern enthusiast of 50s style.
The 50s Line Papers includes a range of designs from floral and herbs to stripes
and diamond trellis. Hampstead (pictured), depicts line drawings of smart Georgian
and Regency town houses, complete with trees, gardens and railings.
To complement the range Little Greene has selected paint shades from its Colours
of England and Colour Scales collections to co-ordinate with the wallpapers.
The papers will be available from the beginning of February. For more information
