The Oriental style has long been a favourite of anyone into the arts and crafts movement that dominated at the crossover between the 19th and the 20th century. New in the autumn range from Fired Earth is Chelsworth, part of Chinoiserie range that takes its inspiration from wallpaper patterns of the 19th century.
The ceramicist, Alice Gibbons has worked together with decorative artist Adam Calkin to create this fantastic wall tile panel pictured above. Chelsworth would definitely be a talking point in any bathroom and who wouldn't want to lounge in that bath and lose themselves in thoughts of eastern travel a century ago.
The handcrafted tiles combine to form 4,6,12 and 36 tiles panels, which are then used together to make up the 72 wall tile master panel. This can then be extended horizontally and vertically depending on your requirements.
